Is it always in Covington, or does it - er - move around?

I love it! You should go knock on their door and ask to do a photo shoot inside so we can see. Tell them you're a student. :oP

This is supposedly one of only 20 remaining "Futuro" homes left in the US. Designed by a Finnish architect named Matti Suuronen in the late 60s around the time of the moon landing, they were prefab and lowered into place by helicopter.

Covington's this one's "home base", though it has been moved locally at least once.

I'd like to knock on the door just to see the retractable stairs lower to the street...

So, there really are UFO's!

Hmm. So right about the time we started sending people into space, these "Futuro" "Homes" started showing up down here. Has anyone ever seen one of these delivered by helicopter? It's about 1322 mi. from Roswell to Covington, KY. What was the range of a late 60's helicopter?

Looks a lot smaller than I expected. Still, I am totally interested in seeing the inside. Wonder what would happen if those retractable stairs brokw...

It is pretty small, but I think to a certain extent it's a trade-off - living space being sacrificed in the name of improved fuel efficiency.
